CHINA PLANS TO LAUNCH ARTIFICIAL MOONS TO LIGHT UP THE SKIES:
China is planning something new. In attempt to replace the street lights, china's scientists are in process of creating an artificial moon. they are planning to launch this in 2020 to light up the skies in the streets of china after dark.
Scientists are hoping to hang the man-made moon above the city of Chengdu, the capital of China’s southwestern Sichuan province, according to a report in Chinese state media.
The imitation celestial body — essentially an illuminated satellite, will have a reflective coating to divert the sunlight back to Earth, where it will supplement streetlights at night.
Scientists reported that it could be 8 times brighter than the natural moon.
Thus this will lead to drop in the fuel consumption and reduces the payment of electric bills in china provinces.
