WHAT IS OK STAND FOR..?
Now you might be curious to know what exactly OK means? You have to first know the exact meaning before you use the words.People often use the word "OK" to express as "yes", "all right".

OK is not a short form or any other nonsense. The linguists say that Andrew Jackson first used the expression, having taken it from the Choctaw Indian word 'okeh'. It was, however, popularized by Martin Van Buren.

Martin Van Buren was the 8th priesident of the united states from 1837 to 1841. Born in Kinderhook, New York, he acquired the friendly nickname 'Old Kinderhook'

He ran for reelection in 1840 against General William  Henry Harrison. During the election campaign, Van Buren's followers, in an effort to improve the public image of 'Old Kinderhook', formed the Democratic OK club.

The expression "OK", meaning that Van Buren was all right by the Democrats, quickly spread across the nation like a virus, and was one of the slang terms that refused to fade away from peoples mind.

'Old Kinderhook' sadly lost the election and is pretty much forgotten by the world today, but his nickname initials are used world wide. Too funny and bad that his campaign platform wasn't as popular and viral as his nick name.

Now you know how the word "OK" come from a person. Now go to your friends and when they ask you something, if you are ok with it then say "Old Kinderhook-Van Buren was all right". They will understand nothing....LOL. try it out it's interesting.
