Galileo Galilei was an Italian astronomer, physicist, mathematician, philosopher and an inventor.

  • Galileo has been called the father of observational astronomy, the father of modern physics, and the father of science.
  • He was born on 15 Feb 1564 and died in 1642, 8th of Jan.
  • Galileo's astronomical observations using a telescope is a scientific breakthrough.
  • To create a telescopes that were far, far more powerful than any of the existing telescopes, Galileo built on the work of others.
  • even though Galileo was blind during his last days on earth he was determined pursuing his passion for science. It was while he was blind that he designed a special  mechanism for pendulum clocks.
