Southwest Iran hit by 5.7-magnitude earthquake

After the recent quake that shocked the world with 7.1 magnitude quake in California, today at 11:00 a.m. 5.7 magnitude earthquake struck Southwest Iran.
It was reported that the epicenter of the quake was in the the Masjed Soleiman area of Khuzestan province at a depth of 17 kilometres.
There are no details of casualties reported yet. But it was reported that 4 people were injured and the earthquake also damaged some old and new buildings in the centre of the town. The town where this earthquake happened is rich in oil.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake was centered 28 kilometers (17 miles) southeast of the town, and at a depth of 10 kilometers (6 miles)
