WHY DO NOT MOON TWINKLE...?

HAVE YOU EVER SEE MOON TWINKLE....?

Do you ever wonder the nursery poem is  "Twinkle twinkle little star" but why not  "Twinkle twinkle little moon".....?

If u wanna know then you are at the right place.Sounds good aye...!
Moon is the natural satellite of the EARTH, and the closest celestial body to the earth.

In fact no celestial body Twinkle. The stars just appear as they twinkle is because of the turbulence created by the earth's atmosphere, which makes the light coming from far distances irregular(not straight).

The atmosphere on earth is not the same at all the places. In cities we know that due to the immense  usage of automobiles- there would be more heat rising into the night sky.

such conditions will make the light coming from the faraway stars less stable.Because we see the far away stars as mere points light, they seem to dance around which is so called as twinkling.

WHY DO NOT MOON TWINKLE

The moon and planets are far closer, and thus don't appear as mere points of light. So, changes in the fall of the light rays do not have so pronounced an effect.

If you look through a telescope, however, the effect of the turbulence can be seen as a quivering around the edge of the disc of the moon and planets.

Scientists have learned the trick to cancel out the effects of turbulence, and get a true image of a star, This technique is called adaptive optics.
